Experiencing German Tradition – Our Visit to the Christmas Market

At the German Application Center, it is not only important for us to prepare our apprentices professionally for their careers, but also to introduce them to German culture and traditions. We know that understanding a new environment helps young people feel more at home, communicate more effectively, and integrate more easily into daily life and work.

To give our apprentices, who started their training in October, this cultural experience, we organized a special afternoon at the Christmas market.

The new apprentices had the chance to experience traditional German Christmas atmosphere up close: beautifully decorated stalls, twinkling lights, and the inviting aroma of roasted almonds, gingerbread, and mulled wine. For many, it was an exciting moment to try their first mulled wine – of course, non-alcoholic options were also available.

The visit to the Christmas market offered more than just culinary and visual delights: it allowed the apprentices to experience German traditions firsthand, encouraged cultural exchange, and strengthened group cohesion. Experiences like these are a central part of our work – they help young people feel confident and welcome in Germany and make the start of their apprenticeship even more meaningful.

We are proud to provide our apprentices with these special moments and to bring German culture to life in a personal and engaging way
